罢丑别听鈥楴ature-based solutions to the聽climate聽emergency: The benefits to business and society鈥�聽report is the first business-facing resource聽created by聽the聽, produced in partnership with聽Business in the Community (BITC)聽and Greater Manchester Combined Authorities (GMCA).聽聽

UKGBC聽is one of 12 partners on the聽, alongside organisations聽from local government, universities, and NGOs. Supported by 鈧�4.5 million from the EU鈥檚 Urban Innovation Actions initiative, this ground-breaking project aims to develop innovative financing solutions for investment in Greater Manchester鈥檚 natural environment. This investment will help to build the city region鈥檚 ability to adapt to the increasingly extreme impacts of climate change.聽

This report curates findings from the , to outline how Nature-based Solutions (NBS) can benefit business and building performance; helping organisations make smarter choices on installations by increasing the understanding of who will benefit and how. We have mapped the benefits of NBS across 鲍碍骋叠颁鈥檚&苍产蝉辫;key impact areas: Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation; Resource Use; Nature and Biodiversity; Health and Wellbeing; and Socio-economic Impact. 

As UKGBC looks to enable more ambitions targets related to NBS and increase their application in urban areas through our Increasing Nature-based Solutions programme, the IGNITION project will generate financial models and investor confidence in nature-based solutions to support their creation.鈥�
